Featured Ceramic Artists

Step into our boutique studio, where pottery becomes an intimate experience. I have always wanted to create a space where one doesn't just watch, but feels the enchantment of the process, a haven where you can take a little bit of its magic home with you.

Today, my heart is filled with gratitude as I proudly present not only my creations, but also the work of five incredible artists from the Eastern Townships region. These shelves are more than just displays; they embody the dreams, passions, and diverse talents that make pottery a tangible joy for everyone. Here, each piece resonates with the unique story of the artist, a harmonious blend of techniques and styles that evoke emotions.

Here are the ceramicists featured in our boutique:

Sophie Manessiez
Sophie Manessiez is a ceramic artist who has been working with clay for over 15 years. With a background in craft ceramics and a DEC in ceramics from the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours, she creates sculptures and collections of decorative and utilitarian objects. Her passion for clay and her work have led her to participate in various exhibitions.

Marie-France Labrosse
Marie-France has always been strongly inspired by nature and its balance of opposites. This is somewhat what she attempts to reproduce in her work by juxtaposing color and subtlety, stability and movement. Her work takes the form of delicate and organic shapes that she throws or hand-builds. She uses porcelain and works with various textures. She also applies muted, soft, and moving colors, giving strength to the structure while recalling the fragility of the earth.

Pascale Atelier
A graphic designer by training, Pascale has been practicing ceramics since 2018. She abandoned the computer as a creative medium in 2019 to devote herself to clay as a self-taught artist, as well as working part-time for other ceramicists. Inspired by still-life photography and the symmetry of the plant world, she enjoys exploring this complex and exciting material by combining traditional throwing techniques with in-depth research into glazes and enamels.

Cycycéramique
The porcelain objects by Cycycéramique are rooted in spontaneous action. Imperfection, the raw, the authentic, the crooked line, and the detours are her creative drivers. Thus, each piece is unique and possesses a particular character. They all evoke a singular emotion, they all evoke a personal story. Sometimes soft, aggressive, joyful, or sad, each piece represents a different part of the artisan.

Véronique Martel
Born in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and now settled in Granby, Véronique studied science before learning the fundamentals of the potter's craft at the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours in 2015. Her atypical and multidisciplinary background allows her to approach the practice of ceramics from a very personal angle. Hand-building remains her preferred technique. She favors natural and soft hues, as well as organic shapes that pay homage to the wild beauty of the Abitibi boreal forest.
